biography of peterpan

Peterpan is a poprock band from Bandung, Indonesia. The band was formed in 1997 and famous for her songs "What She", "Mask", and "I told The Beautiful". Initially the group consisted of Ariel Peterpan, Uki, Loekman, Reza, Andika and Indra. But in November 2006, two members, Andika and Indra was fired from the band. The split was triggered by the difference principle of creativity.

Career
Early formed
In 1997, Andhika (keyboards) formed the band hat with sister invites her class at SMU 2 Bandung, Uki (guitar), as well as playmates, Abel (bass) and Ari (drums). Sky Park

The concert titled "LA Lights Peterpan Record Breaking 24 Hour" began in Medan, North Sumatra at about 7:55 until 8:40 pm. Stars in Heaven

In August 2004, Peter released a second album titled Stars in Heaven. The album has sold 350,000 copies within 2 weeks after release and in early January 2005 has reached 1.7 million copies. In February 2005, album sales reached 2 million copies. And according to records, this album is capable of sold 3 million copies.

In early 2005, Peter won the award for favorite artist in the MTV Asia Aid Indonesia on February 9, 2005 in Bangkok.In Anugerah Music Indonesia (AMI) 2005, Peter tops nomination by obtaining 11 nominations. Four of them scored by the song "What She." Of the 11 nominations that, Peter gets seven awards, among others for "best band", "best album", "best album graphic design" and "the best production work" , because the album Star in Heaven. Disunity

On November 4, 2006, Andika and Indra, officially left the band members. Both former personnel are eventually formed another group called The Titans.

Post-release of Andika and Indra, their positions are occupied by two additional musicians, namely Lucky and David. With this additional formation, Peterpan released, Bright Day. Launching event is also made another album because it is done in two countries. In RUUMS Kuala Lumpur on May 25, 2007 after the Heroes Monument in Bandung on the Gazebo and broadcast live on six television stations.

This album is claimed to be their last album under the name "Shakira". Ariel claims that eventually they will release the name Peterpan and use other names.
