Sparta
Sparta is a city in ancient Greece, the capital of Laconia with the most important town on the banks of the River Eurotas Peloponesus. Sparta was founded by people who beat Doria Laconia and Messenia which in its development into a very strong and powerful. In the 7th century BC, Sparta was the center of literature, but after 600 BC military science are more highlighted.

The children of the ruling class (Spartiate) are trained to be military. Under the military is perioeci groups (artisans and merchants) and helot (slaves). Only the Spartiate who have legal rights and civil rights.

However, the earliest evidence of human settlement in the territory of Sparta was of pottery from the mid-Neolithic period, found around Kouphovouno , about two kilometers south-southwest of Sparta. Civilization seems to fall into decline in the late Bronze Age. According to Herodotus, the tribes of northern Macedonia from moving into Peloponesia, where they called the Doria, they conquered the local tribes and settled there. The Doria seems to have started to develop the frontiers of Sparta almost before they establish their own state. Argive Doria Spartans fought to the east and southeast, and also Arkadia Achaeans in the northwest. Evidence suggests that the Sparta area is relatively inaccessible because of topography, terrain Taygete so that Sparta had been safe since the beginning.

According to Herodotus and Thucydides, between the 8th century BC and the 7th Sparta suffered a period of lawlessness and civil strife. [4] As a result, they perform a series of political and social reforms in the society which they associate with their law giver, Lykourgos [5 ] These changes mark the early history of classical Sparta.
